Italian Knives

Friction folding knives were refined in Ancient Rome, appearing around the 5th century BCE. An extended tang pivots the blade, hiding its cutting edge within the handle, greatly improving the knife’s portability and safety. Without a locking mechanism, pressure is applied by the user to keep the blade in an open position.

Premium, artisinal knives for Blade & Talon are designed and produced by Lorenzo Scoppoletti in Orvieto, Italy. Useful for light field tasks as well as food preparation, they are sleek and refined, with sufficient heft for a full grip. Local materials are incorporated with high-end stainless steels and brass, blending Old World tradition with New World perspective.
